Arrival in the city of Chiclayo, reception and transfer to the chosen hotel. Overnight stay in Chiclayo.

4:30 pm. Tour of the city's tourist attractions, such as: Plaza de Armas, Santa María Cathedral, City Hall decorated with wide wrought iron doors and windows, San Antonio Basilica, Santa Verónica Church, Paseo de las Musas, Casonas Republicanas, Plazuelas and the main thoroughfares of the city.
Then visit Chiclayo 'Mercado Modelo' market and the area known as the Mercado de los Brujos (Witches' Market) where you can find various potions, herbs and other implements used by the shamans in their endeavors.
This market is very appealing because it offers a fantastic variety of herbs and objects that are used in traditional medicine, or "curanderismo", an activity that is deeply-rooted and widespread in the region.
Return to the hotel.

10:00 am. We will go to the archaeological zone of Huaca Rajada, 22 miles east of Chiclayo and 1.2 miles from the town of Sipán, where you will find the pyramid, terrace and the Museum of royal characters and priests of the Moche elite (200 to 700 A.D.). It is here where the intact tomb of an elite figure was found (Moche 200 to 700 A.D.). The opulence of its ornaments and high degree of cultural technological development mean it is considered the most important archaeological discovery of the century. We will visit its Site Museum and excavations.
Next we will visit Túcume, an extensive archaeological complex at the foot of "El Purgatorio" (Purgatory), or "La Raya" (Stingray), Hill, where 25 pyramids can be admired. On this visit we will learn about, among others, the Huaca Las Estacas, Mirador and Huaca Larga, as well as the Site Museum.
From there, we will head on to visit the new and modern Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, which has 10 exhibition rooms where you can see the remains of the elite Moche who ruled 1,700 years ago and marked a milestone in the country's history. Here you can take a look at a large collection of gold, silver and copper objects.

11:00 am. We will visit the Spa of Pimentel, the main one in the province, where traditional "Olympic" games, surfing competitions, board, beach volleyball, "caballito de totora" (reed watercraft) and line fishing are pursued, and where early 20th century architecture and contemporary buildings are preserved together with a wide boardwalk and the old dock.
Caleta de Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa Cove), picturesque owing to the use of "caballitos de totora", where you will be able to admire the sanctuary of the Señor de los Milagros (Lord of Miracles), Puerto Eten, and then we will head on to the town of Monsefú, famous for its woven straw and cotton yarn fabrics, where you can see many craftsmen at work and visit the handicraft market.
