The Moche route represents the culture, archeology and wealth that exists within the province of La Libertad and Lambayeque, enabling you to discover the treasures of the great leaders who ruled the northern coast of Peru long before the Incas.
Along this route there are architectural traces such as huacas, pyramids, an adobe city (Chan Chan) and several museums that exhibit collections of gold, ceramics, textiles and the great figures of their rulers such as Lord Sipán and the Lady of Cao.

Sipán (Huaca Rajada) + Túcume + Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum (Full day excursion) + Lunch: Very early in the morning, excursion to the magnificent adobe platform of Huaca Rajada, where the world famous Lord of Sipán was discovered. Admire fabulous gold items, precious stones and the ancient history of the Moche civilization. Afterwards, a visit to Túcume, an imposing complex of 26 pyramids from the Lambayeque culture. Then visit the new and exceptional Royal Tombs Museum and discover the historical richness of this place. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to your hotel.

Transfer from your hotel in Chiclayo to Trujillo in a private vehicle accompanied by a guide for your visit en route to the El Brujo Complex. Located 21 miles north of Trujillo, in the Chicama valley. The pyramid of El Brujo rises about 98 feet above the desert and covers an area of approximately 330 by 330 feet. It was built from thousands of adobe bricks. Its walls are covered with beautiful reliefs and polychrome wall paintings depicting war motifs, divinities, animals, plants and fishing nets. A few years ago, the well-preserved tattooed mummy of a young woman from the Moche royalty, known as the Lady of Cao, was discovered inside the pyramid and is now exhibited in the Lady of Cao Museum.

Huacas del Sol & La Luna + Lunch + Peruvian Paso Horses & Marinera Exhibition + Chan Chan + Huanchaco (Full day excursion): Morning visit to the impressive Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the center of power in the Trujillo Valley during Moche times. Check out the amazing group of adobe frescoes on one of the walls of the Temple of the Moon, unearthed by archaeologists. Afterwards, a visit to a traditional Moche Valley family, descendants of the Mochica. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will be directed to an area to watch an exhibition of beautiful Paso Horses along with Marinera dances. We will continue towards the old citadel of Chan Chan, which covers an area of approx. 7 square miles. We will enter the Nik-An Palace, located in the south west part of Chan Chan, passing through its ceremonial plazas, adoratories, reservoirs, granaries and cemeteries, among others. Finally, we continue on to Huanchaco, an ancestral fishermen's cove where we will appreciate the old boats called 'Caballitos de Totora' with which the ancient tradition of artisan fishing is maintained. After the tour, return to the hotel.
